The Department of Theater Arts was established in the 92nd academic year, and the Graduate Institute of Arts Management was established in the 90th academic year; both departments and institutes were formally established in the 96th academic year.
We hope to complement the Department of Music in educating students through the arts, fostering a broad research perspective, and jointly creating opportunities for the development of humanities and the arts in the Jiangsu region.
We further hope to establish a firm foundation for the promotion of theater arts in Taiwan and to further elevate the overall standard of theater culture.
Republic of China Year 90 | The Preparatory Office for the Graduate Institute of Arts Management was established; the Graduate Institute of Arts Management officially began accepting students.

Republic of China Year 93 | The Department of Theater Arts was divided into three tracks: Theory, Performance, and Directing; Design; and
Republic of China Year 96 | In September, the Department of Theater Arts merged with the Graduate Institute of Arts Management; the Graduate Institute of Arts Management was renamed the Master’s Program in Arts Management under the Department of Theater Arts
Republic of China Year 97 | The Department of Theater Arts adopted a student-driven course selection system; the Master’s Program in Specialized Fields was renamed the Master’s Program in Theater Arts
Republic of China Year 111 | The Master’s Program in Theater Arts transitioned to a curriculum centered on interdisciplinary creation and research
